Owner of Core Football Coaching is professional footballer Johnny Goddard. Johnny has played for various clubs including Swindon Town, Stevenage and Woking. Having joined Reading FC aged 8, he went onto become a professional there. He made his name at Woking FC, becoming an England C international before being bought by Swindon in 2016. John is very passionate about helping young players develop alongside his professional career, and works closely with all our coaches to make sure we create the best coaching environment possible.

Jack plays a major role in what we do here and is our Full Time Head of Football Development. This means Jack will always be looking to improve and develop what we do, whether it be within our School Programmes, Academies or Soccer Camps.
Jacks sessions are always full of energy and great content, giving our players lots to learn and think about each week! His passion for helping young people is clear to see making him a firm favourite with our younger players!
Professional player Frankie has come on board to help develop our players at our Arborfield Academy on a Tuesday night. A wealth of experience as a player Frankie has played for clubs such as Portsmouth, Leyton Orient & Wimbledon after coming through the ranks at QPR. As a coach he uses his great technical and tactical understanding which helps our players when they get to more advanced stages at around 10/11 years old.
'Doddsy' is Lead Coach of our U6/7 Academy players He has been a part of the staff since day 1 here at Core, previously running our school programmes and Soccer Camps. Nowadays Doddsy focuses on the youngest of our groups giving them enjoyable sessions to work on their technical skills and ball comfort. Also playing at a good level Doddsy used to play in America as he studied in Iowa for 2 years.
Leah is a UEFA B Licensed coach with vast experience in coaching young players. She has worked at various professional clubs, and now helps teach and develop A Level / BTEC students as well as coaching at our Academy sessions in Farnborough and Ascot. Leah leads of Girls Development Sessions, which you can sign up for by sending us an email! She is very passionate and knowledgable about the game putting on challenging sessions for our players to aid their development.
'Skidders' is a big character for us and helps develop the players in our Reading & Arborfield Academy sessions. Liam is perfect for our Academy players as he sets high standards and tests players to improve during every session.
Liam is also a qualified teacher so is very experienced in terms of relating to young players and creating a learning environment.
'Nunny' has over 20 years coaching experience and uses his knowledge to help both our players and coaches learn and develop. He plays a key role in helping us improve what we do, and you will often see him on the sidelines guiding our players in the right direction at Academy sessions or during Soccer Camps!
Adam works in our School Programmes and Development Sessions whilst working towards his Degree of Physical & Sport Education at St. Mary's University.
A bubbly character Adam gets on well with all children whilst challenging them in his sessions. He is experienced working with a variety of different ages, and formally lead Futsal sessions at Futsal24 meaning he plays a Lead Role in improving the Futsal Sessions we currently run.
Stevie is the first ever Academy player we have had mature and join us on the coaching team! A terrific goalkeeper when we worked with him in his youth, Stevie was well known for making fantastic saves and going on trial with Swindon Town FC where he really impressed. Nowadays he passes on his technical knowledge to our young Goalkeepers working on different aspects of their game each week, from shot stopping, dealing with crosses & distribution.
Frosty has coached at Woodley FC for the past few years where he has taken the U14s up the age groups. He now coaches in primary schools for us where his coaching style helps players develop at their own pace with fun and engaging sessions regardless of ability.
